Syllabus for LKG will have Hindi, English, Mathematics and Drawing as main subjects. The subjects will be of basic building blocks like letters when it comes to languages and numbers when it comes to mathematics. Drawing classes will be wherein your child will be thought to fill colors to plain pictures. This is the first step of a child towards school and just like a baby learns to walk a child at this will be getting to learn what a school is, who exactly is a teacher etc. Children today are quick learners and I believe you will not have a problem.
CBSE adopts grading system and the following are the benefits of the grading system implemented in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE):
It makes the learning more flexible as there is no pressure or race for ranks.
There is no cut throat competition which helps students to focus more on learning.
It will reduce discrimination on basis of marks among students.
Your kid is starting the schooling and you are worried about the syllabus. Yeah but what I suggest is that you can pick up the schools of your choice and pay a visit to the schools. You have to know about the surroundings interact with the teachers, students and get an understanding about the learning culture. It’s not only the syllabus that matters but the way they are been taught also is also an important factor. As for the syllabus I don’t think it will be that heavy on your kid.
