Bike maintenance… You need to take care of many things in bike such as tires, breaks, engine, shock absorbers, spark plugs, chain box, silencer, head lights, tail lights, reflectors, paints, etc. So there is a very big list.
• For tires you can check air pressure, for cuts or punctures, grips, etc.
• Check if break is working properly or if break liners have worn out.
• You may need to replace engine oil regularly to have longer life and give you good performance.
• You have to check if shock absorbers are properly working or else your bike may eject the rider when in hurry.
• Check spark plugs if carbon has deposited which may turn your vehicle off sometimes.
• Regular cleaning and greasing of chain box is needed to enhance its life.
• Clean the silencer for your bike to respond to you when you start it.
• Head lights and tail lights should work or else traffic police will call you to park your vehicle aside and pay handsome bill.
Many buy bike spending thousands of rupees but at the end forget to maintain it. If you want your bike to stay fit for longer years get it serviced at regular intervals. During service change the engine oil and get it lubricated frequently so that it doesn’t face any problem.
Bike maintenance is quite tough and you need to follow the three main steps for it to look young and charming.
• Do not use kerosene or detergent as they tend to wear out the paint. Use plain water and soft rags to clean the dirt.
• Use a bike clear to maintain the sheen and oil the wheels often.
• Good engine oil is needed to prevent friction in the engine.
