Ikebana is a disciplined art of arranging flowers using creativity and talent of humans. This centuries old Japanese art is now gaining fame all over the world. Last year for my son’s birthday party I decided to decorate my home with some interesting art and tried Ikebana. Seeing the beauty of this flower arrangement all my guests appreciated and even asked me to take class for this. I was really very happy that day.

Ikebana art is unique in itself in many ways. It is not just a floral arrangement, but it is more a combination of humanity and nature. Apart from collection of flowers, ikebana also has different types of stems and leaves and it stresses on the forms, shape and line of it.

Another unique feature of ikebana is that silence has to be maintained while practicing this art. They believe it is important to respect and appreciate the nature in this which we never do in our busy life.
